1. Contact international organizations (PACE, OSCE, UN General Assembly, UN Commission on Human Rights, governments) with demands to put pressure on Russia to implement the Geneva Convention.

4. Report new information about prisoners to the National Information Bureau (NIB) and to the materials of criminal proceedings (through the investigator).

8. Avoid excessive media coverage of prisoners who were not publicly known before capture, as this may complicate the process of their return.
9. In conversations with the media, emphasize the need for Russia to comply with the norms of the Geneva Convention.
10. Support the relatives of those who remained in captivity.
11. Help relatives of prisoners to submit data directly to National Information Bureau (NIB).
12. Do not forget that every word you say can affect the conditions of stay of those who remained in captivity.
13. Avoid messages of the type "he will quickly recover and return to the front".
14. Because it can have a negative impact on further negotiation processes.
15. Do not disclose personal data and information about military personnel who are still in captivity to the mass media.
16. Avoid excessive specifics during public statements about rights violations (torture, conditions of detention, etc.), it is better to use general narratives about similar cases.
17. Do not share photos or videos of military personnel who have not yet been discharged.

According to the Ministry of Reintegration, Ukrainians who are forced to temporarily live abroad due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, were given the opportunity to send an application for the appointment (renewal) of a pension by mail.

The application is sent to any territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, regardless of the person's place of registration.

Recently, the government settled the issue of paying pensions to citizens of Ukraine, which:

• live in the temporarily occupied territories (TOT);
• during the temporary occupation went to the territory controlled by Ukraine;
• temporarily live outside of Ukraine.

1. Citizens from TOT will be paid a Ukrainian pension on the condition that they do not receive a pension from the pension provision bodies of the Russian Federation. Currently, the exchange of information between Ukraine and Russia is currently not possible, therefore the renewal and payment of pensions will be carried out on the basis of a statement in which a person reports on non-receipt of a pension from the Russian Federation.

2. Citizens who found refuge abroad will be paid a pension on current accounts opened in Ukrainian banks. Such persons will need to undergo physical identification by December 31 of each year.

This can be done remotely using:

• Diia.Pidpys (Diia ID) in a personal electronic account on the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund;
• certificate of residence issued by a consular official.

IDPs who have had children after displacement can receive a child's allowance.

Recently, the government has made it possible for internally displaced persons who have had children after displacement to receive assistance. This will resolve the problem that arose with receiving assistance for children born to IDPs after displacement and, accordingly, their registered place of residence coincided with the place of their parents' declared residence (the place where the IDPs moved to).

If IDPs who moved from the territories for which the date of the end of hostilities or temporary occupation has not been determined, as well as those whose housing is destroyed or uninhabitable, have a child after February 24, 2022, but the assistance was not granted before the new resolution came into force, the assistance is accrued from the date of application for it with automatic extension from August 1, 2023.

We remind you that the amount of the allowance for the accommodation of an IDP child is UAH 3000. If you have an IDP status, you can also obtain an IDP certificate for your newborn child. You can do this online through the Diia portal by contacting your local ASC or social protection department. After receiving an IDP certificate, you can apply for an IDP child's living allowance.

According to the recently adopted Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, residents of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions who own a plot of land can receive financial assistance:

• for running a personal peasant farm;
• for the construction and maintenance of a residential building, farm buildings and structures;
• for individual gardening.

The amount of assistance is 3,318 hryvnias for a lost vegetable crop of 0.01 ha. At the same time, it will be paid for an area of no more than 0.2 hectares in the Mykolaiv region and 0.3 hectares in the Kherson region.

• verification results in accordance with the criteria for the appointment of the said assistance.

If you were absent from your actual place of residence during the verification, you must contact the Department of Social Protection of the Population (DoSP) within 14 days to prevent the termination of payments. If you have justified reasons for your absence, you must provide the DoSP with supporting documents within 30 days.

Also, be sure to contact the DLSP if you:

• changed your place of actual residence or contact phone number;
• did not specify the apartment number.
