  • you only use the vehicle in the UK for no more than 6 months.

When entering the UK, you can drive past a customs control point (usually a green channel marked โ€˜nothing to declareโ€™) without speaking to a customs officer.

If you become a resident or stay for longer than six months, you must register and tax your vehicle in the UK. It is possible to use foreign number plates in the UK for at least six months.

What are the parking rules?

Before parking, make sure you are doing so in a permitted space. There are many police officers, and the fines are very high. At most parking lots, a ticket is taken at the entrance and paid at the exit. Payment for parking in the UK is made using special machines that issue a ticket. It shows the cost and the time during which your car can be parked. You need to buy a ticket for a certain period of time and put it under the windshield.
