If you have a biometric passport and a valid residence permit in Ukraine, then you do not need a visa.

If a person needs asylum and wants to apply for a residence permit as a refugee in Denmark, the applicant must contact the Danish immigration authorities. For example, the applicant can contact the police at the Danish border, at an airport, at a police station or in the Reception Center Sandholm.

If you meet the requirements for being granted temporary proctection, you will be able to stay until March 17, 2024. With the possibility of a one-year extension only (in order to stay longer it would be necessary to apply for asylum, or for a residence permit on other grounds).

In some cases, your visa or visa-free stay in Denmark may be extended by a visitation permit of up to 90 additional days, so that you can stay in Denmark for a maximum of 180 days altogether. The application for extension must be submitted before the expiry of your visa or visa-free stay.

You can be granted a permanent residence permit in Denmark once you have had a temporary residence permit for eight years. In some cases, the requirement is four years.

In order to qualify for a permanent residence permit, you need to have had regular, full-time employment or been self-employed in Denmark for at least 3 years and 6 months during the 4 years prior to the date the Immigration Service reaches a decision about your application for permanent residence.
