Where can I go to find emergency/short-term housing?

When you are granted temporary protection, the state (the municipality) will provide housing. Initially the housing can be temporary because of capacity problems. The municipality is required to assign housing โ€“ no application needed.

The Danish Immigration Agency decides in which municipality Ukrainian citizens will have to live if they have not previously had another residence permit in Denmark.

If you have been offered a job by the Danish Immigration Agency during your case, you must send a copy of your employment contract to the agency. This may affect which municipality you will be offered to live in.

If I am staying with friends and family in the long term, what documents do I need to fill out to make it official? How can I obtain proof of residency?

You will have to register your permanent address at the citizen center in the municipality with your CPR number, which you will be granted from the Immigration Office.
