Can I enter the country without a visa?

You might enter Spain without a visa if you have a Ukrainian residence permit. However, we advise you to contact the embassy of your country in Spain to get the most updated information.

Can I get refugee status in the country?

Citizens of the third countries, both non-Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons are eligible to get temporary protection if:

  • They have been granted international protection or equivalent national protection in Ukraine before February 24, 2022.
  • They legally resided in Ukraine on the basis of a valid residence permit - permanent or any other type of residence, for example a student permit which was issued according to legislation of Ukraine, and who cannot safely return to the country or region of their origin.

How long can I stay in the country?

You can stay up to 90 days, within a 180 days period if you are a citizen of a visa-free country. For a longer period, you have to get a permit, such as asylum or international protection. Please contact the embassy of your country to learn what are the conditions of your stay in Spain.
