Any Ukrainian citizen in need can apply for benefits once the Foreign Police Department issues their ODÍDENEC. You can find the application form in Ukrainian here. You need to submit the document to the Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family.
In addition to all the benefits that Slovak citizens get, people fleeing Ukraine are also entitled to get a dependent child allowance even if children are not attending compulsory school. More information at upsvr.gov.sk.

You can apply for subsidies for school meals in nursery and primary school. You can do this by indicating that you would like this support and they will put you in touch with the relevant authorities.

Every two weeks you can visit the language cafe from the organization Mareena (Gorkého 2, Košice). If you want to practice and improve your Slovak language, or help others learn Ukrainian, look for a table with the flags of Ukraine and Slovakia. Language cafes from Mareena are held not only in Kosice, but also in Bratislava and Nitra. You can follow the dates of upcoming meetings here . Entry is free for all.

Stand By Me is a DofE project that aims to improve the quality of life of young people displaced by the war and help them find themselves in Slovakia, make new friends, overcome the language barrier and help them make good use of their time.

Persons who have applied for or have been granted temporary refuge gain access to social services in the same way as Slovak citizens. More information about material aid can be read at upsvr.gov.sk; in case of disability you can read more information here. No specific social support is available if you are over a certain age.

Persons who have applied for or have been granted temporary refuge gain access to social services in the same way as Slovak citizens. These are provided by residential, day and field social service providers throughout the country. People with disabilities, regardless of age, will find an offer of various organizations here or at local authorities (Obecný úrad, Mestský úrad, VÚC). In connection with the cessation of monthly payments by international organizations (UNICEF, UNHCR (UN), IOM), financial assistance to persons with disabilities will be paid by the state.

Who is entitled to help?

Persons who simultaneously meet the following criteria:

• have a disability, the degree of severity of which is 40% or more, as well as their legal representatives
• have the status of temporary protection (Odidenec/Docasne utocisko) OR have applied for the status of refugee (asylum)/status of additional protection (subsidiary protection) and because of this the status of temporary protection has ended, OR persons who previously had the status of temporary protection, but lost it in connection with obtaining a residence permit.

OnkoHelp is a project that helps cancer patients from Ukraine and their relatives in Slovakia.

According to the Ministry of Reintegration, Ukrainians who were forced to go abroad due to the war can now send an application for the appointment or renewal of a pension by mail.

An application for the appointment (renewal) of a pension can be sent to any territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, regardless of the person's place of registration.
