About United for Ukraine
United for Ukraine (UFU) is an international NGO leveraging the power of partnerships, technology, and expertise-based volunteering to support the people of Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression and rebuilding a just, independent, and sustainable Ukraine.
UFU consolidates efforts to support the people affected by the Russian war on Ukraine by providing critical information and facilitating critical services through the UFU Platform in close collaboration with the International Rescue Committee’s Signpost program.

We process the following personal data:

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Personal data of other individuals and organisations in the course of facilitating access to humanitarian assistance.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Personal data of individuals and organisations offering their assistance to or seeking information about United for Ukraine or its members.</li>

<h3>Sharing of Personal Data</h3>
Where you have made a request for assistance through any of our channels, your personal data will be shared with third party individuals and organisations exclusively for the purposes of facilitating such assistance.  Your personal data will be deleted once we have finished handling your request. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in relation to your request is Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR. If you get in touch with us for other purposes (e.g. offering assistance, co-operation or simply seeking information about us), the same applies.
<h3>United for Ukraine Legal Support Tool</h3>
The data you provide through our United for Ukraine Legal Support Tool (e.g. your name and email address) will be processed solely for the purpose of dealing with your request and will be deleted thereafter. Your data will be shared with those volunteers taking on your request. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in relation to our United for Ukraine Connection Tool is generally Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR.
<h3>Social Media Channels</h3>
We run fan pages on social networks to promote our organization and to facilitate access to humanitarian assistance. We and the providers of such social networks are joint controllers of our fan pages. The legal basis for the processing of personal data in relation to our social media profiles is Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in promoting our organisation and in providing access to humanitarian assistance.
<h3>Cookies</h3>
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the Cookie.
Some Cookies are required for technical reasons such as to ensure the optimal display of our website on your device. These technically necessary cookies are processed on the basis of legitimate interests, Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest to ensure the technical functionality of our website.
